The Knights are always the hardest cards for me to interpret because there are so many possible interpretations.  Actually, I think all of the court cards fall into that spectrum for me.

The Knight can represent a person, travel, or something else entirely.  Let’s look at the two aspects separately.

Knights (or Princes depending on the deck) tend to represent movement, whether physical movement as in travel, general change, or general movement forward.

Pentacles (also seen as coins or disks depending on the deck) are earth symbols.  They’re about matereal subjects: money, material needs, etc.

Bring them together and you get movement towards money (I can hope).  That interpretation is in line with the general trend of the cards I’ve been getting lately, and it would certainly be welcome at this point.

The Knight of Pentacles can also be a symbol of responsibility and focus.  Sticking to the job until it’s done.  This interpretation actually goes well in hand with my Goddess card today, which is Diana.

Diana is the Roman Goddess of the Moon.  She is usually shown with her bow, hence the interpretation of focussed attention.  Stick to the job, stay on target, and you’ll hit the mark.

Now, how that plays out with the general messages of the last week, I don’t know.  Unless I’m being chastised.  *sighs* There was a job alert in my e-mail last night from the local hospital.  They have 3 administrative assistant positions opening up.  And I applied for them.

Yes, it’s true, I was weak.  The lure of security overcame me.  What can I say, I’ve got a cold and I’m vulnerable to the lure of security.  But just because I applied for them doesn’t mean I have to take the job if offered.  Actually, my real thinking is that a job offer would be a good way to nudge the company where I’m working as a contractor to move toward making my position a bit more permanent.  So, I’m not really wavering from my path, because I don’t really think I want to continue with admin work.  I like doing tech support.  But maybe having other options open will give me some leverage here.

That’s what I’m telling myself anyway  *laughs*.  That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it!

Don’t forget, if you want a free 3 card Tarot reading, just send me an e-mail!
