		<description>Lauren - exactly, that&#039;s one of the things I loved about it, it reminded me of the Venus.

Arwen - thanks for that link.  Carolyn Whitehorn has several pieces that I really love.  I don&#039;t think it&#039;s the same artist, but I really love her work.  I hadn&#039;t seen it before.

What I particularly love about this piece is that there is such a calm, assertive, confident air to a fat woman.  I aspire to be the woman in this statue.</description>

		<description>I don&#039;t know this statue specifically, but it reminds me of the Venus of Willendorf, one of the earliest fertility &quot;goddesses&quot; - carved around 23,000 BCE.  That might be a starting point for your research. Good luck!</description>
