My husband sent this article to me last week: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20060328.gtelectricity28/BNStory/Technology/

I know many people are skeptical about this type of phenomena, but I do think it happens.  I know the electrical fields around our bodies can interfere with electrical devices.  My father, for instance, couldn't wear a battary operated watch.  The batteries would always burn out within hours.  He had an old windup that he wore until the day he died.  I, on the other hand, have problems with computers…at least I used to.  It seems to have corrected itself once my hypothyroidism was properly treated.  But before that, I had all kinds of problems.  A computer that never had problems when anyone else used it, would give me the blue screen of death on a regular basis.  The next computer I had would throw GPFs every time I worked in Excel.  Never did it for anyone else, just me.  The tech guys couldn't figure it out.  They even reformatted and reinstalled a couple of times.  Then, when I started on the thyroid and was feeling better physically, all the computer problems just stopped.  My doctor at the time said he had a number of patients with problems like those.  One turned off street lamps as he passed.  It would go back on after he was past it.  Another one shorted out her lightbulbs.  She had to change the bulbs in her house almost monthly.  So, if our electrical field can effect electrical instruments, why can't their fields effect us?

My husband and I figure that when we get a place of our own, we'll invest the money to clean up the electrical fields in our home.  At the moment, we rent an older home with an antiquated electrical system.  I know there are constant power fluctuations because you can see them in the lights and the computer and TV.  Maybe it's part of why we both have felt so bad during the last couple of years.  Granted, I've had a lot of other things going on as well, but not all of my symptomology is answered by the iron deficiency.
